Yves Patrick Beaulieu is a French-Canadian, who lives in northwestern Quebec, or more precisely, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, a region located in the heart of the Canadian boreal forest. In 1991, he published his first novel, “Au passage de la neuvième lune” (As the Ninth Moon Passes), and received regional recognition. The author achieved success once again ten years later with his second novel, “L’ermitage” (The Hermitage), receiving yet another fine tribute from his adopted region. Six short stories followed. Ever since, he has been dedicating his time to writing this, his third novel, “Dada le fou” (Dada the Lunatic) thus completing his Abitibian trilogy.
