Absolute beast of a book! Michael Crichton gives us a literary gift with this one. It is a page turner and the characters are both likable and easily despised. There are few differences from the movie, but I believe it makes the book better. The progression is smooth and the imagination goes wild. A very easy read and my first MC book... I'm hooked. I have ordered most all of MC's books and I'll be leaving more reviews on those later. Don't sleep on this book, it rewards the reader. Love the ambiguous ending as well... The Lost World! Incredible story telling that keeps you reading until the end. I grew up watching the Jurassic park films and can't believe I'm barely reading the novel at 29. Facepalm for that one. An instant favorite. Can't wait to start The Lost World.
About the author
Michael Crichton’s novels include The Andromeda Strain, The Great Train Robbery, Congo, Jurassic Park, Rising Sun, Disclosure, and The Lost World. He was as well the creator of the television series ER. Crichton died in 2008.
