Sriparna Bandyopadhyay


Born on 5th December 1971 Sriparna Bandyopadhyay had a good academic record with artistic and creative inclination from her very childhood. She has done BSc (Chemistry Hons.), BEd and MBA Burdwan University. Her present engagement is Creative, Factual as well as Content Writing both in Bengali and English. Sriparna has so far 16 books of poetry, fictions and essays in her credit. 

Although her literary journey began with poetry, Sriparna is acknowledged for her crisp and analytical prose and has been awarded for a number of times as a fiction and essay writer. She is also keen to research based articles on anthropological, sociological, historical or socio-political issues. She often designs the cover for her own book.

She is recipient of Sharmila Ghosh Sahitya Puraskar, 2016 (short story), Usha Bhattacharya Smiriti Sahitya Puraskar 2018, Nabaprabhat Rajat Jayanti Barsha Sahitya Sammanana (Story Book) 2018, Pratilipi Special Prize (short story), First Prize from Pratilipi for Novelette 2020, Ragesh Sarkar Smriti Puraskar 2020 (Essay), Padatik Kabi Subhash Mukhopadhyay Smriti Puraskar – Serar Sera Samman, 2021, Dolly Midya Smriti Puraskar, 2021, Smriti o Chetana First Prize, 2021 etc.
