Beyond Highland Sunrise

I've waited for Callum and Parker's book since I read how they met at the end of "Before Highland Sunset." And O.M.G. This book is beyond my expectation! Kait Nolan created this book so good and I enjoyed every minutes I spent reading it. Callum and Parker is definitely an opposites attraction but they also have something similar in their backgrounds. I adore Parker. She is a strong and smart woman who has her own problems but she still wants to live her life and she thrives it. With Callum's grumpy personality and Parker's issues, the story should be angsty but it isn't. I think Parker's positive thinking, Callum's business partners, and Parker's friends help brighten up the story though. But while the story leans more on the bright side, Nolan still inserts something exciting and dangerous into it which made the story intriguing. Now that Callum gets his happy ending, I can't wait for Finley to settle down... and not just anyone but Saoirse! Bring it on!

This was a well written story that drew me in and had me invested from the first chapter to the last. The sparks flew from the moment she walked into his office and the chemistry continued to develop. This was a fast paced story with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. When Parker’s secrets catch up with her, Callum will do whatever is necessary to protect her. There are equal amounts of romance and suspense that makes this a one click for me.

Give me a broody, gothic, wounded warrior of a hero and I’m happier than a cat in her own garden of catnip. But this book had to go and up the ante by adding a splash of gentleman in a kilt to the recipe. And that, dear reader friends, meant that the author came up with the most perfect, most effective form of Kryptonite I can possibly imagine. Then she had to go and give him a sweet and spunky heroine with demons of her own, and all I could do was wave the white flag. I was an absolute goner
