Wow. That was a pretty incredible way to close out the series. We’d all watched the sparks fly between Finn and Saoirse, and were fairly certain that no matter what the pair of them said, those weren’t sparks of hate. The high-adrenalin search for her friend and the close quarters of a shared tent, plus having only each other to rely on in the wilderness, meant that the masking hatred couldn’t last for long. I adored seeing their protective walls fall and the two of them trusting each other.

The final book of this series will make you forget to breathe! It's so intense it made me wonder if Kait Nolan's darker alter ego Harper Jackson might have highjacked the story at times. I love when an animal steals the show. Each well-placed huff or side-eye from the four-legged companion made me fall in love with him a little more - the dog that is, not the man! I'm also an absolute fan of witty banter, and sparks fly with Saoirse and Finn's verbal jabs. Sad to see this series end!

Wow, the suspense in this was fantastic, the pages kept turning to find out what was going to happen. Finn and Saoirse have a very love hate relationship but they both prove their dependability. Ajax (a four legged friend) steals your heart and you’re really hoping for a happy ending for him. Throw in a few twists, turns and bumps and we have another fantastic novel. The only downside being this is the final in the Special Ops Scots.
