A surprisingly sweet and swoony with a little bit of dangerous sense story from Kait Nolan. Amazing!!! I have to confess that I didn't pay attention for Ewan in all of previous books because I have been waiting for Afton and Hamish's book like forever! So after Connor's book, I hope it's her turn. But nope, Kait Nolan has another plan by bringing Ewan into the front with a little bit of dangerous energy that follows after Isobel run away from her manager. The story is intriguing and interesting because it's different from previous books. Ewan is a veteran and Isobel is a musician. They are opposite in every ways but their attractions are real. And Ewan in an alpha mode is sexy yet also sweet. The most important thing is Ewan is good for Isobel, he lets her be free and be herself. And if I were Isobel, I would never go back to the outside world because I love their Scotland village so much.

What a great story! Protector in a Kilt has lovely main characters, a talented woman who is abused by her agent and decides to change her situation, a grump whose main mode is to protect people and a whole family (bound by blood or circumstances and love) who will stand to help and protect those in need. This series is easy-to-read and leaves the reader wanting more! I thank Ms. Nolan and her publisher for this ARC.

This was another wonderful book set in Scotland, continuing the Kilted Hearts series. Isabel/Elizabeth was escaping an abusive situation, and she grew so much through the book as she became part of the villages families. Ewan was just what I imagined a big, protective, strong, quiet Highlander would be. It was written beautifully and I loved the way they grew to love each other, very believable. I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion. I highly recommend this book!
