Yves Patrick Beaulieu is a French Canadian who lives in Quebec, in northwestern Quebec, more precisely in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, a region located in the heart of the Canadian boreal forest. In 1991, he presented his first novel: “At the passage of the ninth moon” and received regional recognition. The author does it again ten years later with a second novel: “The Hermitage” which also receives a fine tribute from his adopted region. Six short stories follow. Since then, he has devoted himself to writing his next novel, Dada le fou, which closes the cycle of the Abitibian trilogy.
