About this ebook

With all my best mates settled down, I'm the last single man standing. Of course, the one woman to spark my interest is the only one in Scotland who seems immune to my charm. Dr. Saoirse MacGregor is brilliant, beautiful, and decided she hated me at first sight.

When her friend goes missing on a research expedition, Saoirse turns to us at Out of Bound Scotland for help. With my military training, I'm the best tracker we've got, so she agrees to an uneasy alliance—as long as I take her along for the search.

But the Highlands hold dangerous secrets, and what starts as a search and rescue quickly becomes something far more treacherous. Forced to rely on each other to survive, the walls between us begin to crumble. Turns out the posh vet I've been clashing with for months has depths I never imagined.

I'll do whatever it takes to protect her. But the real surprise of this enemies-to-lovers journey? She might be the one saving me.

Beneath Highland Stars is a forced proximity, enemies to lovers, woman in trouble, small town Scottish contemporary romance, featuring a retired military dog who's gonna steal your heart.

I'm sorry but I didn't expect Finn and Saoirse's story to be more intense and full of danger than romance and since I have waited for their story for quite a while, I felt a little bit disappointed... Anyway, what I like about this book is they finally have a chance to get to know each other better. And Nolan still created a fascinating story with the situation they have to face. So yes, even if I feel disappointed by how less romance their story be, I still enjoy reading the book though.

I enjoy enemies to lovers stories and this was a fine example. This was a wonderful addition to the series. This was an entertaining, well written story that had me totally invested in the story the author wove. They see each other regularly but the sparks that fly between them are not in a good way. There is a fine line between love and hate and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop, all over Ajax, his recently deceased friend’s dog.

From the other books in the series, the tension between Finn and Saorise has been high. The final book in the series starts with the two of them continuing with this tension. But as they spend more time together, their feelings changed. I enjoyed both of the main characters a lot. The star of the book is definitely Ajax! I loved the role he played in this story. The story is action packed as well as being a love story. The book moves fast and is paced quickly.
