Fire Season is a slow-burn romance between two men who are both struggling. Charlie is struggling to comes to terms with his divorce becoming final. Reid is trying to make a come back after blowing up his life and career a couple of years ago. He had to take a year off to heal from a serious injury. I loved the slow build of Reid and Charlie’s relationship and the sweet dog that was an integral part of the story. I think the author did a good job of showing Reid’s daily struggle with alcohol.
