A lovely oh-so-satisfying baseball romance. Diamond Ring is the third in KD Casey’s Unwritten Rules m/m baseball series. Jake Fischer and Alex Angelides get called up to the majors at roughly the same time. That rookie season is a doozy, culminating in a heartbreaking loss at the Fall Classic and a major injury shortly after for Jake, and a falling out that then spans a decade. After 10 years apart, there is still a spark between Alex and Jake but they both have to overcome old hurts. Once their relationship is fairly solid again, they have to deal with the realities of their differing career goals. Diamond Ring brought out all of my emotions and made me feel for both characters. I enjoyed seeing characters from the previous two books. I also appreciated the extended epilogue that this book had.
