Sweet, sexy, a MMC I need to clone, a FMC who starts a little weak then grows into her strength, a cute kid who sounds his age. The suspense was built perfectly, then twisted in a way I TOTALLY didn't see coming! All the swoon, all the hot dirty talk, all the feels. The audiobook was just *chef's kiss*. I'm a BIG fan of Patrick Zeller, he does such a good job with the smexy scenes. Amanda Stribling is new to me, but she really brought Lacey to life. I cannot WAIT for more of this series!

4.5 stars. I believed in the connection and chemistry between Hudson and Lacy, enjoyed seeing them explore their feelings and desires, and seeing them supported by those around them. The story was a lovely story of friendships, family and love, with a dash of pasts, trauma and pain. I thought the story flowed well and it held my attention from start to finish and took my mind off personal things. I am looking forward to reading Connor's story next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It's hot and spicy and delivering all that I need in a book. Loved the first book of the series, now I can say the same for book 2! Flirty banter, instant family connections, nasty cows from school, and an epic twist that could literally mean LIFE AND DEATH!!! Absolutely fantastic read, and I am in need of another dose right now! Love coming back to these reads from Samantha Skye! She's the shot that I need when I want some spicy, some drama, some family love and hot attaction!
