About this ebook

In the heart of Rome, a deadly conspiracy threatens to destroy the empire

It is spring A.D. 45 in Rome, and Centurions Macro and Cato find themselves entangled in a web of treachery and danger. Dismissed from the Second Legion in Britain, they are awaiting an investigation into their involvement in a fellow officer's death when the devious imperial secretary Narcissus makes them an offer they can't refuse: rescue an imperial agent captured by pirates off the Illyrian coast, along with vital scrolls that could ensure the emperor's safety and Rome's future.

Accompanied by their old enemy Vitellius, Macro and Cato set out with the imperial fleet, only to face heavy losses at the hands of the forewarned pirates. Outnumbered, surrounded by rumors of treachery, and threatened by Vitellius's quest for redemption, the centurions must locate the pirate base to avert a disaster that could destroy the emperor and the very heart of Rome.

In Eagle's Prophecy, the sixth novel in Simon Scarrow's epic Roman Legion series, Macro and Cato face their greatest challenge yet in a rip-roaring tale of swashbuckling adventure, political intrigue, and military valor, perfect for fans of Roman Legion series and ancient Roman historical fiction.
