About this ebook

A gripping tale of betrayal, bravery, and conquest in ancient Rome.

When Centurion Macro and his young subordinate, Optio Cato, arrive on the shores of Britain to take part in the Emperor Claudius' invasion in AD 43, Macro knows the desperately outnumbered Roman army will be facing one of the toughest campaigns ever. As the brave men of the Roman legions fight against the ruthless Britons, a sinister organization secretly betrays them. With assassination rumors coinciding with the Emperor's arrival, the soldiers realize they are up against a force more ruthless than their British enemies, and time is running out to prevent Claudius's glorious victory from turning to disaster.

Filled with adventure, military action, and political intrigue, this war story brings to life the vivid details of ancient Rome and Roman Britain.
