Acerca del autor

Will Bertolo is a technology geek who spends his work hours building internet websites and applications. He decided to write his first English short story (WhiteNoise) in 2014, and others quickly followed. He also dedicates part of his spare time composing and recording tracks of several genres at his home recording studio. Prior to start producing English language literature, he wrote a few pieces in Portuguese, including an unpublished fantasy book.

The author is aware that writing in a second language represents an extra load of challenges. Punk bands democratized rock and proved that engaging music could also be made by people who were not virtuous musicians. Will believes the same can be applied to storytelling, hoping readers can be forgiving about his still present second language slips if they are able to appreciate the story as a whole. For him, a good story shouldn't stay untold for whatever reason. He thinks the Internet is a game-changer when it comes to opportunities for self-published, unknown and niche content producers.

The author is heavily influenced by the works of Neil Gaiman, the accomplished British fiction author behind novels like American Gods and Coraline.

In 2020, the San Francisco-based literary magazine Ramblr published three of the author’s short stories.
