If you have ever struggled with major depression or suicidal thoughts, this book will infuriate you with its shallow and pithy story. The way the "lives" function irritates me and brings the quality of the story down, beyond the poor understanding of severe depression. Not to mention that it's a poorly disguised self help book. I genuinely do not understand how so many people love it. I cannot recommend enough that diagnosed people avoid this book, especially if you're currently in a bad place.

A fascinating concept and story that had me crying at times and looking at myself and life from different angles. Very enjoyable book and fun to theorize on inside of a book club

one of my favourites books. I read it in one go on a 10hr flight. I have been gifting this book to people for birthdays too. as someone who suffers from mental health issues and has suffered suicide idelation this book hit me in the feels.
