If you have ever struggled with major depression or suicidal thoughts, this book will infuriate you with its shallow and pithy story. The way the "lives" function irritates me and brings the quality of the story down, beyond the poor understanding of severe depression. Not to mention that it's a poorly disguised self help book. I genuinely do not understand how so many people love it. I cannot recommend enough that diagnosed people avoid this book, especially if you're currently in a bad place.

Great novel. Original and creative concept. Vivid imagery. Was always excited to see how story would finish. Mental health history of the protagonist could have been developed better, but it was still reasonable overall.

A much needed book in this world to remind oneself to truly see and not just look. An enjoyable read, with an easy to identify character and lots of great quotes.
