4.5 stars. I believed in the connection and chemistry between Hudson and Lacy, enjoyed seeing them explore their feelings and desires, and seeing them supported by those around them. The story was a lovely story of friendships, family and love, with a dash of pasts, trauma and pain. I thought the story flowed well and it held my attention from start to finish and took my mind off personal things. I am looking forward to reading Connor's story next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and although it took me a bit to warm up to these characters, I'm so glad I stuck with it. Lacey and Hudson are so cute together. The way Hudson is there for Lacey, so patient and sweet to her shows the kind of man he really is. Poor Lacey went through so much too, between her mom being sick and her other traumatic experiences, it's no surprise she doesn't want a relationship. And yet Hudson is so irresistible.

Do we like them old? Yes yes we do Do we like a little bit of trauma in our lives? Just a bit Do we love love? Very much so Do we love rich billionaires that take care of business in and outside of bed? Yes please Do we like drama ? I know I do Lol if you said yes yes yes then I recommend you read this cute book if course it comes with a happy ending I quit dark romance until later on today lol
