PHARMACOGNOSY - I

Dr. Anand Kumar is presently working as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at University Department of Pharmacy, Sant Gahira Guru University Sarguja, Ambikapur (C.G.). He has overall 14 years of Teaching, Research & Administrative experience. He has been serving as a Member of University Academic Council and Chairman Board of Studies (Pharmacy) since 2014. He has filed 6 Patents (2 International & 4 National) & 3 Patents have been successfully awarded and published.He has published 3 Books from National Publications and 12 Research and Review papers in various National & International reputed Research Journals. He also contributed Book Chapters in various Book Publications. He has reviewed various Research Projects & Proposals of Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology, Raipur. He has delivered many expert lectures in various Colleges and Scientific forums. He has completed his PG from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanada Technical University, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh and Ph.D. from Sant Gahira Guru University Sarguja, Ambikapur. He has been awarded as Best University Teacher during Republic Day Celebration. He is presently serving as Regional Coordinator Surguja in APTI State Level Region. Life members of Professional bodies as Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) & Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI). He conducted & organized various National & International Conferences, Seminar & Workshops. His core competency is in Ethnopharmacological Studies, Formulation Development, Pharmaceutical Law, Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Audits.

Mrs. Mubeen M. is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy at the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Pharmacy, SRIHER (DU), Chennai. She has a total of 2 years of industrial experience and 3 years of teaching and research experience. She is a reviewer for InSc, Bangalore. She has published many research and review papers in various national and international journals and has been awarded a UK patent. She was the state topper in M.Pharmacy and was awarded The Medical University Gold Medal by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. She won the first prize for the scholarship given by the Tamil Nadu Science Welfare Trust for her M.Pharmacy project. She has also been awarded the Young Researcher Award by InSc (Institute of Scholars), Bangalore. She completed her PG from Madurai Medical College, Madurai, and is pursuing her Ph.D. at B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. Her core competencies include high throughput screening, synthesis of nanoparticles, extraction of volatile oil, and standardization of herbal drugs.

Dr. Uttam Sharma is presently working as Principal at the Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. He has a total of 19 years of teaching, administrative, and research experience. He is a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Indian Pharmacy Association, Indian Society of Pharmacognosy, and Paschimbanga Vigyan Mancha. Natural member of the ‘East Himalayan Society for Spermatophyte Taxonomy. He has published 12 research and review papers in various national and international journals. He has delivered many expert lectures in various colleges and scientific forums. Nationally and Internationally. He has completed his master's degree from The M.G.R Medical University, Tamil Nadu, and Ph.D. from The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata. His field of interest in ethnomedicine.

Dr. Mhaveer Singh obtained his B. Pharm from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and earned his higher education (M. Pharm and Ph.D.) in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at Hamdard University, New Delhi. He has also engaged in postdoctoral research as Dr. DS Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship awarded by UGC, Govt. of India. Currently working as associate professor in School of Pharmaceutical Science, IFTM University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. He is having 15 years of experience in various fields in academic and scientific research for herbal drug development. During this tenure, he has published 45 research articles and various conference papers. He is member of many scientific associations, and expertise of research in natural products. He received many awards and participated in various national and international conferences and FDPs, substantial contribution in leadership, training and management. Through both teaching and research, Dr. Singh remains committed to advancing the field of pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry with herbal drug development for promoting innovative solutions for public health challenges.

Dr. Sachin Ulhas Sonavane is Founder & CEO, Soros Molecules India, Scientreprenuer, Ph.D. from ICT Mumbai (formerly UDCT), Post Doc. From Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel Research and development professional with 22 years of progressive experience in API, chemical research, process development, CDMO, CRO, Agrochemicals, Cosmetics and F&F Industry. Highly efficient cross functional and cross culture expertise. Expertise in development and implementation of noninfringing and cost-effective novel synthetic technologies to provide robust process solutions in organic chemical synthesis up to the commercialization.
