A quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. A short story of two employees that work at Lady Luck Casino. Trey is Annie's boss and knows she is off limits but he can not help the feelings that he has towards her and will do anything to pursue the relationship. Annie is a single mom, a very strong person and does not takes handout easily. Loved Trey, he has such a big heart. The Lady Luck Casino books are all stand alone reads, short stories that are perfect for an afternoon read. All are clean romances with HEA.

I have come to enjoy this series that gives us a glimpse into the lives of individuals that either work at the Luck Lady Casino or go to it for entertainment. Individuals just like us that have to deal with the ups and downs of life. In this story, both Trey and Annie are faced with decisions that affect not only themselves but also others. In Annie’s case, she is a cashier at the casino, working as much as she can to take care of her three year old girl. Trey is the supervisor of the cashiers, enjoying his job but with a demanding fiancee who wants change. The author manages to give the reader in this short story, a complex plot dealing with likable characters that must make decisions that will affect their future and the future of others. Another touching story in this series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
