'Esmerelda' is the sixth and final book of Kathi S. Barton's "Queen's Birds of Prey" series and I feel like I've literally waited forever for this one. Knowing this was the last book made things a little more poignant as I was reading cause a few moments of tears. Although Esmerelda, aka Emme, was the last story to be told, it felt a bit rushed or glossed over in spots. That’s not to take away from the heartfelt emotion Ms. Barton has found a way to convey to this reader or the message from Queen Dante any less prophetic just a shorter version than what I was hoping for. All in all, a good read and a happily ever after for the characters and the series.

Kathi Barton, the winner of the Pinnacle Book Achievement award as well as a best-selling author on Amazon and All Romance books, lives in Nashport, Ohio, with her husband, Paul. When not creating new worlds and romance, Kathi and her husband enjoy camping and going to auctions. She can also be seen at county fairs with her husband, who is an artist and potter.
