Collectively, this piece of work could only have come into being because of the people I have met, places I have been and experiences lived through over the years. About the author
Jamie was born in York (1978), and brought-up in the Ryedale villages of Beadlam/Nawton. He has spent most of his life in Yorkshire and the North-East of England, having lived and worked in Scarborough since 2007. Offered a Society of Author’s Award 2022, and a Rocaberti Writer’s Scholarship 2025, he was educated at Terrington Hall Prep School, Durham School, Hull University, and currently - Arts University Bournemouth. One exchange year was based in Canada. Having dabbled in Creative Writing for 18 years, Short Works is his latest project, with more in mind.
