I liked it because Hope Anika is a beautiful writer with inspiring characters. The phrases and descriptions that she uses are haunting and stay with you long after you finish reading. I took away a star because, I was disappointed that this book in many ways was too similar to the first book in the series using with the same elements to the plot. There was also very little crossover with characters from the first book in this one which was disappointing as I read this book hoping get little epilogue on those characters. I mean if you aren't going to change the plot very much then at least provide a bit of a HEA (as much as you can for this genre) for your characters in the upcoming book series.

This is a story you will NOT want to put down. The building chemistry & feelings between Rafe & Ruby & the threat of potential danger to their lives will bring your heart into your throat & keep it there. The side characters add depth to the story & help garner more interest & involvement in the narrative. The intensity never lessens from beginning to end, whether it's the action, the drama, or the emotions, it will keep you glued to every page & unwilling to walk away until the end.
