Mistletoe & Dirty Goals: A Second Chance Christmas Hockey Romance

Logan is a professional hockey player who has returned to his hometown In Michigan during his 5 day break at Christmas. His dad has never been happy and constantly berated Logan but he visits his parents over the holiday out of respect for his mother. He always goes to a local bar and engages in cage fights that lets out some of his anger through aggression. 3 years ago he had met Rachel and they spent a torrid 3 days together but he left when she wouldn’t return to California with him. Rachel is at the bar with a date but she and Logan end up together and begin an intimate relationship again. Rachel is afraid of being hurt again and Logan is dealing with the fact that his dad is dying. Will Rachel be able to help Logan deal with his anger and can they find happiness together? The author did a great job letting you see how angry Logan had become and how Rachel wanted to help him with his issues. This was not a typical hockey story cause it happened during the Christmas break and there were no hockey games and Logan had returned home. This is book eleven in The Slapshot Series and it is Logan and Rachel's story and it is definitely a must read. Logan is a NHL superstar and when he decides to go to his hometown for Christmas he gets a surprise in the form of his ex girlfriend who he left and now is determined to get her back. Rachel was upset and heartbroken when Logan walked away from her but now she is getting on with her life and even dating again only for Logan to return messing up everything that she has worked for. Will Logan manage to convince Rachel that he is the one for her and to give him a chance to prove himself or will Rachel tell him to take a hike as he missed his chance and she is not interested only time will tell what the outcome will be. This book was a brilliant read and I couldn't put it down as I wanted to see what would happen between them and it was so well written and definitely worth reading. What a truly touching love story. The soul searching that Logan and Rachal go through to figure out if they have an relationship beyond a few days. Logan has issues with anger towards his father and Rachel doesn't know if she can go through the heartache that comes when Logan leaves again. I really enjoyed this story, good job.
