Flugsaurier in Deutschland stehen im Mittelpunkt des gleichnamigen E-Books. Aus der Triaszeit, in der anderswo vor etwa 220 Millionen Jahren die ersten Langschwanz-Flugsaurier erschienen, sind bisher aus Deutschland keine Flugsaurier bekannt. Die geologisch ältesten Flugsaurier hierzulande stammen aus dem Unterjura vor ungefähr 180 Millionen Jahren. Zahlreiche Flugsaurier-Fossilien aus dem Oberjura vor rund 150 Millionen Jahren liegen aus den Solnhofener Plattenkalken in Bayern vor. Seltenheiten sind Flugsaurier-Funde aus der Kreidezeit vor mehr als 65 Millionen Jahren. Unter den Flugsauriern in Deutschland gab es solche im Adlerformat und andere im Spatzenformat. In Wort und Bild vorgestellt werden auch Flugsaurier aus aller Welt. Unter ihnen gab es wahre Riesen mit bis zu drei Meter langem Kopf, maximal sechs Metern Höhe und einer Flügelspannweite bis zu zwölf Metern.
