HE'S A WOUNDED HERO. SHE'S AN INNOCENT NANNY CAUGHT IN A DANGEROUS WEB. WILL A DESPERATE KILLER COST THEM TRUE LOVE?

After a terrorist attack leaves military surgeon Jamie Snow with a debilitating knee injury, he’s convinced his career is over. But when his black ops teammates interrupt his plans for revenge and haul him back sporting a useless leg and a thirst for vengeance, he’s in for the surprise of his life. Summer may be the only person capable of defrosting his heart, but he’s not taking any chances when it comes to her safety.

Summer Summers has been knocked down by life. More than once. So when she’s contacted by a mysterious group about a job she desperately needs, she jumps at the opportunity. It doesn’t take her long to discover, the JTT is everything she’s ever wanted in a family. And she’ll fight to keep them. As the danger escalates, Jamie realizes the safest place for Summer to be is with him. All he has to do now is convince her he’s worthy of her heart, rehabilitate his bad knee, and regain the confidence and trust of his team. Should be easy for a man used to getting what he wants, right?

I love the way the author pulls a little more on the thread that interconnects this series. Some of it having me catch my breath (Tak), the mass shootings, and how mankind can and will be evil. I knew when we met Summer as a Nanny at the governors that this was going to come back and bite her in the butt. The reason it came back was a surprise, I thought for sure it would be linked to the series thread. I was wrong. Other little surprises came about like Jay and his past. Setting up for book 4.

Wow great book! I really adored the simmering protective feelings that went both ways for this couple. This was a story about military surgeon Jamie and the love of his life, Summer. Their chemistry really was hot as their characters get closer and get over the initial alienation brought about by Jamie. Not sure what his problem was but he gets over it quick. Very well done, fantastic characters and I loved the danger and drama through out this book. Great work Edith!!

Couldn't put it down. Jamie was an angry hot mess when he met Summer. Summer was shy but a scrapper when necessary. The two of them together were hot, and passionate and left you wanting more. Together Summer grew aback bone and Jamie learn to forgive himself and enjoy life. I loved how Summer, Jamie and they took in Halia to raise and love. I would highly recommend this book.
