About this eBook

A Life Terminal is a novel in the medical setting, which follows the comical escapades of characters from vastly different worlds. They range from the eccentric walks of life - a senior citizen prostitute to an austere billionaire - to the very ordinary. We share in their joy and grief, courage and foolishness, as they putter through the clutter of everyday life, cope with grotesque rules, and eventually hurtle toward their inevitable fates. As in life, some of these characters disappear from view following a brief random encounter; others become integral players in the story. They travel separate haphazard journeys but, as they navigate together through the illogical hurdles of our healthcare system, their lives become oddly intertwined. Beneath their differences, they share common hopes, fears and vulnerabilities, living out the same story over and over again.
Jane Doe was an ordinary person born into an average family. She grew up in a small town in a working class neighborhood. Odd circumstances brought her into the city, where she started a new life. She became a doctor, which gave her the opportunity to enter the worlds of people from diverse backgrounds, of various stations of life. She was allowed to share with them some of their innermost thoughts and most difficult moments. Inspired by their common plight, she wrote a book A Life Terminal. Then she disappeared into the obscurity from whence she came.
