About this audiobook

Growing up is hard, but growing apart is even harder.

For Mothcatcher (real name: Austin Mitchell), Halloween used to be his favorite day of the year. But this year, it feels like the final nail in the coffin of everything he once loved. Dumped by his girlfriend, unsure of his place in high school, and distanced from his best friend Halloween Costume (Michael Perez), Mothcatcher is grappling with the messy reality of teenage life.

As he navigates heartbreak, self-doubt, and the harsh social hierarchies of high school, Mothcatcher starts to wonder if things will ever be fun again. Together with Halloween Costume, who has his own scars, Mothcatcher faces questions about friendship, identity, and what it means to grow up.

Set against the backdrop of Halloween, where nothing is quite as it seems, Mothcatcher and Halloween Costume is a coming-of-age story that explores the pain of adolescence, the strength of friendship, and the resilience it takes to move forward. Will Mothcatcher find his way, or will he remain stuck in the past?
