One girl’s imagination. Another girl’s reality. An unforgettable journey of empathy, friendship, and finding your voice.
At Edenrock High School, Bella Armijo keeps her head down, studies hard, and hangs out with the popular crowd. She’s focused on grades and college—definitely not fantasy stories or social outcasts. But when her favorite teacher asks her to help the eccentric and often-mocked Amy Williams with a writing assignment, Bella reluctantly agrees. What starts as a dreaded tutoring chore turns into something far more meaningful.
Amy is quirky, loud, and believes her sister Elizabeth—a magical princess—lives in the mountains above their town. Bella assumes it’s all just make-believe… until a school field trip into those very mountains forces Bella to question everything she thought she knew—about Amy, about herself, and about what it truly means to be kind.
A heartfelt coming-of-age story about courage, compassion, and seeing the extraordinary in those we often overlook, Elizabeth in the Mountains of Edenrock reminds us that sometimes the weirdest people have the most beautiful truths to share.
