Carroll is the author of the highly acclaimed Frost Hollow Hall, which won the North East Book Award, and The Girl Who Walked on Air, which was nominated for the Carnegie Medal. Her title The Somerset Tsunami was selected by indie booksellers as their Book of the Month and was The Times Children's Book of the Week.
