More like 3.5 stars. It's definitely better than the ANA app in terms of user ability and getting to the correct web page. I just wished it provided some more relevant info like which terminal to go to. In addition, I also had a problem having my boarding pass QR code generated (similar issue with ANA app), so I strongly recommend everyone screenshot their's just in case.

Update: "net::ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR" while attempting to book tickets. This is a problem. (Old) The app is slightly better than their website but that's not really saying much. Overall, there are some glaring technical issues which prevent quickly completing tasks. The UI is not particularly modern. In flight access to services seems to work well enough but the experience was challenging enough that I did not choose to purchase wifi for the long overseas flight.

JAL is a backwards airline. Their website/app do not function properly. Tried to sign up online for JAL rewards, but the website does't work. I called customer service, but no one speaks English. I found an unlisted # for an office in Los Angeles. They had to manually enroll me because the website has bugs. My flights do not show up on the JAL app! To see your flights, you have log out of the app and search by confirmation number!!!! What a joke!!! JAL needs to modernize its software.
