About this ebook

Warrior Zorras always takes what he wants—and he wants her.

When Karla flees Earth for the safety of planet New Vaxx, the last thing she expects is for one of the huge aliens to show an interest in her. Yet the sexy Vaxxlian warrior named Zorras keeps coming around, and he even threatens to kidnap her. Good thing she’s a fast runner. She tries to convince Zorras he’s wasting his time—she’s too old to have his children—but this news doesn’t deter him in the least. He insists she’s the loveliest female he’s ever seen and claims he recognizes her as his one true mate. But even if he’s telling the truth, Karla is nervous about mating with a Vaxxlian. Her first marriage wasn’t a happy one and she never planned to marry again—let alone enter an everlasting mating bond with a bossy, Vaxxlian warrior. She’ll just ignore the handsome alien and hope he goes away. Yep, that’ll work. Or will it?

After losing his first mate during the war, Zorras longs for a second chance. The lonely widower doesn’t care that Karla can’t have offspring—he only wants her. He’s convinced they’re soulmates, and he keeps trying to make her visit Vaxxlian Matchmakers so the psychics can verify what he already knows. Surely if one of the psychic matchmakers tells Karla that Zorras is her one true mate, she’ll agree to become his wife. But the pretty human is frustratingly strong-willed and refuses to do as he says. Maybe he’ll follow through with his threat to kidnap her, after all. What could possibly go wrong?

4.5 stars I loved Zorras and his wholehearted knowledge that Karla was his soulmate through the entire book. This warrior does his best to learn Earth ways in hopes of earning Karla as his mate. I dare you not to go soft and mushy when reading his letter. I liked Karla but didn't love her and I will admit that it is probably because I didn't understand how a woman can be strong enough to build a life for herself (20 years after the death of her abusive husband), deal with deadly situations, move to an alien planet, and incorporate into a household with 3 very dominant aliens but still be unable to trust a male that shows time and again that he would never hurt her - even when suffering from mating lust. I enjoyed this story and I believe this book can definitely be read as a stand alone (but as always - I believe reading the series in order gives so much more depth and understanding to the whole situation). Even though there is no action/intense situation in this book, the story and characters hold your attention so much better than the last book (imho). Even though I don't care how old the main characters are in a book, it was refreshing that Zorras is retirement age (and has a full grown son) and Karla is 61.

Too much fun! I love this whole Vaxxlian storyline. In this one, Karla flees Earth and thinks she'll be safe on New Vaxx but she is surprised when Zorras keeps coming around. Zorras is sure she is his true mate but Karla is less convinced. This is a really fun couple -- two characters who are great together but who totally underestimate each other. Don't miss this one, it's fun!

Zorras and Karla's story was like a well aimed arrow, straight to the heart. I adored this couple. I felt that there was such a rich sweetness to this more mature romance. This book delivers some mega feels and swoon. In my opinion, Zorras was pure perfection as far book boyfriends go and while I can't say that I loved Karla, I did really like her. In spite of that small bump though, I felt these two created real romance magic together. This is my independent, impartial review.
