About this ebook

This study manual will prepare individuals for the Department of Pesticide Regulation's (DPR's) commercial applicator Non-Soil Fumigation category (Category M) examination.

Fumigants are a type of pesticide with unique physical and chemical characteristics. Fumigants are gases, or turn into gases, after application. Fumigants may be odorless and usually cannot be seen.

DPR's Non-Soil Fumigation category is intended for individuals who perform pest control using a pesticide labeled as a fumigant. This category does not include structural pest control required to be licensed under Chapter 14 (commencing with Section 8500) of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code.

This study manual covers important aspects of pesticides used for non-soil fumigations. However, the study manual is not a substitute for reading and understanding the label of the specific fumigant product you will be using. Thoroughly read the label prior to purchase and application.

Each chapter ends with review questions. After reading each chapter, test your understanding of the information presented in the chapter by answering the review questions. The review questions are similar to those that will be on the exam.

It is my fault for making assumptions but not being able to print this book for my desk at my office is unacceptable. I could have bought the print version. This format to read is egregious. I cannot believe I am going to have to pay for print version and buy this ridiculous thing twice. This is rather unfortunate google docs, financially life is tough enough than to have spent limited resources on ineffective garbage, shame on you. Learn from my mistakes, don't make this purchase. -Matthew

Bad experience echoing the concerns of others. Can’t access in offline format. Cal DPR made content difficult to access with limited time to become compliant during harvest season and has not provided access to materials ensuring compliance with regulations. Sounds like government oversight, probably is. Welcome to the committee, please take a number and have a seat.

This is one of the most poorly formatted, written texts I have come across in many years of reading textbooks. Incomplete sentences, grammatical errors, incomplete lists, images not reproduced, text so small in images it is hard to read. I hope the printed format is better but it is always "sold out" One star because I couldn't give it less!
