As someone married to someone on the Autism Spectrum (and possibly on the Spectrum myself), this romance really spoke to me! I generally read historical romances, but this is one of my favorite contemporary romances! The author did a great job with the characters, especially with the male lead. I recognized my husband in so many of the male lead's mannerisms!

I was so taken by the gifted children because I learned a lot about the way they think and how to get help for them. Such a wonderful story ❤️ you for teaching me that I should look into finding help for my grandson.

Riley finally has her dream job teaching gifted children when Christian walks into her classroom. Soon, they both find that Riley understand Christian's quirks better than most anyone, as he's so similar to the children Riley has learned to read in her classroom. Christian has always had a hard time connecting with people after skipping grades as a child and feeling like he never fit in - even in his own family. It's wonderful to read about these two brilliant people learning each other's languages, even if there are a few misunderstandings along the way. This is a fun opening to the story of Breathless, Georgia and it's wonderful to read a story about the type of people I live around every day without making the gifted just seem like weirdos. I received an Advanced Reader's Copy of Gifted, but it did not affect my review.
