This second serial installment of the novel Protector had plenty of danger and conflict to keep the reading experience quick and gripping. I cannot wait to find out what happened to the heroine to make her the way she is. The cliffhanger ending was gripping and the betrayal made me gasp. The hero is not only Alpha, but deliciously alpha in the romance novel hero sense, which many Alphas in romance fiction aren’t, disappointingly. Just when you think you know where the story is going Nora Ash throws in a plot twist and leaves you hanging. AX2 rescues Addie and they return home where Addie is recuperating and coming to terms with her mating bond but her life has more secrets that are slowing coming to the surface. This story has lots of twists and turns and emotions and just when you think you know what will happen everything turns in a different direction. I can't wait for the next book.

I loved this so much more. I actually go to enjoy the sexy times, her reluctance was easier to deal with. And I love that he never pushed her. With books like this, it's appreciated when the guy reminds both you and the heroine that he'd never hurt you that* way. And Ash did a great job at showing their emotions and their battles with the new ones that contradict all they've known before. Twists are crazy. I love that both characters struggle to decide what's their decision and what's biology.
