The series about Sweetpea are my favourite books in the world. I read the second one, In Bloom, first and it blew my mind how unique, funny, interesting and relatable it was. I was instantly hooked and went on to book one, Sweetpea, straight away and I then re-read both of them later and made my book club read them too. After having a baby and break from reading, I was very excited to see this third one in the series and find out how the story unfolded after cliff-hanger ending of second one. In Bloom is still my favourite out of the three I've but read but this character and style of writing is still super engaging and I'm so excited so see there's a number 4 and 5 out now as well as I'm such a fan.

About the author

C.J. SKUSE was born in Weston-super-Mare. She has two First Class degrees in Creative Writing and Writing for Young People, and aside from being a novelist works as a Senior Lecturer at Bath Spa University. She previously wrote YA novels before turning her hand to crime, and is the author of THE ALIBI GIRL, SWEETPEA and IN BLOOM.
