Spanning 25 years, this extraordinary story follows Joseph "Patch" Macauley and Saint Brown through a shocking abduction and an unbreakable friendship. A powerful journey of resilience and hope, it vividly brings the Ozarks to life. Edoardo Ballerini’s narration made the audiobook unforgettable, and by the intense final chapters, I was following along with the hardback. A genre-defying masterpiece that lingers long after the last page.

This book can be described as a page turner. A book with many plot twists that keeps you reading. Enjoy. A 5 star read.
About the author
Chris Whitaker is the author of the New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling All The Colours Of The Dark. His other acclaimed and bestselling novels include We Begin At The End, Tall Oaks, and All The Wicked Girls.
