This newest addition to the series is a bit different than most of the fated mates stories from this author. In the beginning, I thought we were going to get other woman drama, and to an extent, I suppose that's accurate. But not exactly. Nicholas isn't jumping into this marriage with happy ever afters in his heart or mind, at least not the romantic kind. Then we have our heroine, Beryl, who gets a crash course in shifter politics as she deals with a strong attraction that brings danger with it. I love that Beryl gets to be the heroine in every sense of the word. The story is fast-paced and jam packed with action, danger, and a sweet and sexy romance. This series is quickly becoming a go-to for quick, bedtime reads that send you off to dreamland with a smile.

The Baby Shift series of novellas is simply outstanding. Massachusetts is probably my favourite thus far. I thoroughly enjoyed Beryl. She is a strong woman willing to fight for what she wants but the odds she is facing this time around are definitely stacked against her so she will has her work cut out from her if she wants to save Nicholas and his pack. The story is fast-paced, full of adventure and danger and the characters are superbly crafted. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I enjoyed reading this book 📚, it's short but sweet. The interaction between characters is great 👍. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
