T North has continued building on their work from the first book. They delve further into the rules and powers that have reshaped the world and paving for the changes to face humanity. The main character continues to develop and modern quips and references keep it light. They do a good job of with their descriptions and portrayals of combat while making it easy to follow without dragging it on. They continue developing their characters and adding new ones and the continued use of the different perspectives for the characters shows us their reasons and choices. Its an excellent addition to the series giving more depth to story and characters. Well Done
