About this ebook

New York Times bestseller Presumed Guilty exposes shocking, never-before revealed, exclusive information from the trial of the century and the verdict that shocked the nation.

When Caylee Anthony was reported missing in Orlando, Florida, in July 2008, the public spent the next three years following the investigation and the eventual trial of her mother, Casey Anthony. On July 5, 2011, the case that captured headlines worldwide exploded when, against all odds, defense attorney Jose Baez delivered one of the biggest legal upsets in American history: a not-guilty verdict.

In this tell-all, Baez shares secrets the defense knew but has not disclosed to anyone until now and frankly reveals his experiences throughout the entire case—discovering the evidence, meeting Casey Anthony for the first time, being with George and Cindy Anthony day after day, leading defense strategy meetings, and spending weeks in the judge's chambers.

Presumed Guilty shows how Baez, a struggling, high-school dropout, became one of the nation's most high-profile defense attorneys through his tireless efforts to seek justice for one of the country's most vilified murder suspects.

You have to be open-minded to read this book. It's important to understand how early Jose Biaz was in his career with the trial. This book is from his experience and inexperience in such a high-profile case. The Casey Anthony subject is the subtext of his journey in this particular book. (IMO) I had to remind myself often of those facts as I read this book. I agree with some readers there were some inconsistent things I would go back in chapters to re-read for clarity.

So many spelling mistakes, mistruths and lies in this book. I read this book thinking I could give it a chance. He kept going around in circles and to the point he had me confused. This book is not the right book for anyone to read in my opinion. Filled with lies and deception. And I have a sibling who has torretes syndrome, Jose you are disgusting to label that to anyone. I will gladly punch you in the face and happily get away with it :-)

Liked this book and liked actually hearing the facts. When this case 1st come about I always questioned law enforcement and this book further supports my suspicions. If I ever needed a criminal defense attorney Jose Baez would be my first and only call. Thanks to Jose for doing his job and further what was right.
