Kyle is a carpenter. He started building SM furniture for his friend Marshall. He never thought to do that as a living but after being left on his own with the lease of an apartment he can't afford with furniture he hates, he simply has to try for the contract with Kiss of Leather. Then he meets Gavin, one of the owners of the club. And although he was never even interested in the lifestyle, he loves submitting to him from the start. Kyle learns to live both, the man and their relationship. I loved both characters. Kyle is shy and a natural in his role. But it was so sweet how Gavin fell for him and even adjusts his whole life to give Kyle what he needs. It is a great book!. I really, really enjoyed this book. Kyle was struggling financially after his ex dumped him for another man during their housewarming party. So his best friend Marshall helped him get a job building bondage furniture for his ex Dom and partners. Gavin shows up to go over the contract with him and there's an instant attraction. As somebody that's in the lifestyle and that's a switch I love how patient and kind Gavin was. Because that's not always true in reality. I am extremely disappointed that we didn't get a resolution to what was going on with Marshall. I'm normally not a fan of miscommunication books but in this case it worked out perfectly because the miscommunication wasn't because Kyle was trying to hide things it was because he was so overly shy and unsure of himself. having read the original series I thoroughly enjoyed this rewrite as its expanded the characters and storyline making it a mouth watering read. I loved the characters both main and secondary and the plot kept me completely engrossed. A basic simple outline where a Sub meets a Dom through a new club a friend introduces him too and they have an instant attraction but have to overcome some misunderstandings and accusations as well as waiting to see if Kyle can embrace the BDSM lifestyle
