About the author

Hayley writes for children and adults about contemporary relationships, emotional intelligence and water themes. Her books include THINKBEINGS (emotional intelligence and self-esteem for children), the CAPTAIN PLOP SERIES (three picture books about water conservation, wastewater recycling and desalination), and PEACE OF THE PUZZLE (relationship issues sparking a journey of self discovery).

She is a travel enthusiast with a toilet obsession bordering on unhealthy, resulting from more than a decade working in the water utility industry. She seeks out interesting toilets around the world and anything on the topic of toilet history leaves her flushed with excitement. She has an ever-increasing pile of photos and anecdotes which she plans to turn into a loo-themed book - or maybe two.

Based in South Australia - when not in Spain with her Spanish husband - she works as a librarian, yoga instructor, and English as a Second Language teacher.
