The writing is good. there is a difference between being sassy and bitchy. I found the heroine bitchy, whiny and uppity. she had zero respect for the hero which in turn made the hero pathetic since he had to endure such treatment. I couldn't finish it because I couldn't stand the girl. I was expecting fireworks and heat and all the feels but the book did not deliver. The plot was brilliant but I was disappointed. The wait for this book was well worth it. I loved this story! I love a feisty heroine in any story. Raeni lived up to that.. although I am not sure if she knew why she was fighting the pull to Craize or if she was just fighting it to fight it lol. Though she did have some good reasons to fight it to begin with. I know there was several parts where I wanted to smack the living daylights out of Craize... but he also had a lot of patients with Raeni.... a lot more then most alphas would have. Even though she drove him crazy and broke his heart he still went racing to help her when she needed it without a second thought. I loved this book and I think its gonna be a great spin off series to the Alpha Elite series... I wonder which couples from that series will make cameo appearances in this series also... 1 couple already did and I was so thrilled to see them in this story! I can't wait for the next book!

Graphic with plenty of violence and sex. The underlying story is fascinating and the secondary characters add a great deal to the story. I enjoy the mild redemption arc of each warrior. This story draws heavily from omegaverse/ alpha lore so it is helpful to be knowledgeable about those norms. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
