Although I am not a fan of kidnapping tropes, I had loved Alive at 5, Ms. Bond’s first book, and I had to read CUBA UNDERCOVER: I was not disappointed. CUBA UNDERCOVER is richly detailed, whether it concerns Cuba or the life of a reporter. Both Rebecca and Antonio are complex and appealing characters, and the progression of their relationship is believable throughout the story. CUBA UNDERCOVER is very fast-paced, action-packed, there are plot twists that will make your head spin – in a good way! The story is solid and pretty fascinating in view of the political angle. The writing is impeccable, smooth and fluid, the descriptions cinematic and vivid, and the romance is steamy. Linda Bond made sure I remained a fan! Very well done indeed!

A fast paced romantic suspense that takes us to Cuba and back! The story was exciting, fast paced, and very well written. While all the events weren't completely factual, they weren't so for off the mark you can't accept them as artistic license. Being a native Floridian, I have been exposed to the Cuban culture my whole life and the depiction of their love of family and hatred of Castro was right on the mark. Whether you know a little or a lot about the culture, this story gets top marks for suspense and excitement. I highly recommend it.
