All the poetry and magnificence of the original is lost in this "retelling". Had Lew Wallace intended for the story to be told in this manner, he would have written it in this manner. Don't waste your time; you will surely lose IQ points slogging through this dumbed-down version. It reads like a comic book; it is no different than mass-produced pulp on a clearance rack. Read the original, and be inspired!
