Crafted in 1787, this foundational document not only established the framework for the United States government but also enshrined timeless principles—separation of powers, checks and balances, and the protection of individual rights. Its brevity and clarity are matched only by its enduring impact, having influenced countless other constitutions and legal systems around the world.

Reading the Constitution is an enlightening experience—each article and amendment reveals the remarkable foresight, wisdom, and courage of its framers. It is a living document, continually interpreted and adapted to meet the evolving needs of society. For anyone who values freedom, equality, and the rule of law, this text is essential reading. Delve into these pages and discover the profound ideas that shaped a nation and continue to inspire those who cherish democracy. This is one of the greatest pieces of text in history and especially for us Americans. This piece of paper was the founding guidelines for which the greatest democracy in the world was formed! America has turned from free market capitalist to straight up coorpitalist and the hilarious irony in this costing $1 is that we have to pay to read a document that argued for the best interests of the people. How funny is that?!? This should be a right to read and should be encouraged to read among every American!

Why... Just why? Does Thomas Jefferson STILL have copyright? But there is a free version of this titled The Declaration of Independence and Constitution of the United States.. Still why do we have to pay for this one in specific?
