A well-balanced and readable biography of Mary I is long overdue.

About the author
Linda Porter has a D. Phil in history from the University of York. She has taught in various universities in New York, as well as working as a senior adviser on public relations to a major telecommunications company. The winner of the 2004 Daily Mail/Biographers Club prize, she is now an independent historian and reviewer. She lives in Kent.
