About this ebook

One girl. Two worlds. And a destiny she never asked for.

Brea Robinson doesn't believe in fairytales—until the day she's arrested for a crime she has no memory of committing. Branded unstable and abandoned by her family, Brea is left with nothing but questions. That is, until a mysterious stranger whisks her away from her bleak reality and into a realm torn from myth and magic.

In the world of the Fae, secrets pulse beneath every wickedly beautiful surface, and Brea may be the biggest secret of all. As she navigates a kingdom where loyalty is uncertain, magic is power, and everyone wants something from her, Brea must confront the terrifying truth: the lies she believed about herself may be the only thing keeping her alive.

Torn between a past she can’t trust and a future she never chose, Brea is thrust into a war for control—of a kingdom, of her power, and of her heart. But if she can’t untangle the deception woven around her, both realms may fall.

Fae’s Deception is a free swoon-worthy portal fantasy perfect for fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Bridge Kingdom, and Throne of Glass. With lush worldbuilding, forbidden romance, twists that will leave you breathless, and a heroine who’s done playing by anyone else’s rules. This is the first book in a spellbinding series where nothing—and no one—is as they seem.

I stopped reading after chapter 2. In chapter one, we seem to be in medieval times getting established with characters. Chapter 2 started out quite confusing taking place in a modern-day high school with completely new characters who continue into chapter 3 as if chapter 1 is mistakenly from a different book yet in more relation to the overview that is given of the book. I'm not interested in continuing to read about a troubled modern-day high school cast-out.

Dropped the series halfway into Book Two. Just to make her Cinderalla Fantasy work, the author takes the original princess, throws her into a cell & in months of storytime hands over a whole lifetime to the incomer. With a shade of effort, we could have had a thousand times better story of how the Human in Feyland made a stand. Nope! The author is lazy, conventional & formulaic.

Sexy Fae, Deception, Conflict & A New Realality!!🔥😒💥😲🙏 Fae's Deception: Queens Of The Fae #1 Brea Robinson has 'seen' things since she was younger. Strangers suddenly morphed in front of her eyes & had pointed ears & flashing, bright coloured eyes, they terrified her & still did!😔 Then as she grew older, her emotions would swing wildly out of control until she'd explode into fits of rage she had no control over!😲 Her Parents sent her into an institution for mentally unstable delinquents after she sent her Mum crashing into their Christmas Tree!🌲 Returning to school in the new year, her only friend, Myles, tries to protect her from the worst of the rumours & cruelty!🙏 After a huge confrontation against some of his own football team, her temper explodes again as they attack Myles!😭 She awakes being arrested for the assault of Myles. They tell her he may not survive, She's completely devastated.💔 When she's told she's being transferred & that her parents have signed over their parental rights, she's numb!!😔😳 After hours of travel things then get ultra weird. She notices the Policeman's eyes keep on flashing brightly. She knows something is very wrong & once they stop she runs!! A guy stops her, says he's called Griff & he's there to save her from Lochlan, the Policeman. She feels a wave of safety rush through her & though Lochlan begs her not to trust Griff she does - then she's ripped from Earth into the Fae Realm!!😱💥 This book is full of intrigue, wonderous magic, sexy Fae, Court secrets, lies & partial truths!!🙈😲😒 There's some great characters that you can't help but like & others you just loathe, the World's are breath taking!😍 I can't wait for the next book in this series to see what decisions are made, which alliances can survive or new ones be made & if years of hate can be mended!🙏💕🌟 Debbie, 1970, UK

About the author

Michelle is just a golden retriever mom living on a family compound in rural Ohio. A simple, sweet life filled with writing days, her pup, and plenty of iced chai tea lattes.

She writes a variety of things including fantasy romance, sweet contemporary romance, spicy romance, and has even dabbled in dystopian. She believes changing things up and taking risks stretches her writing muscles and makes her a better author.

But more than that, writing about various human experiences helps her be a better daughter, a better aunt, a better sister, and a better friend.

Melissa is a former interior designer living just outside Atlanta Georgia with her sister and a very needy mini Bernedoodle obsessed with belly rubs.

When she’s not writing, she enjoys gardening, swimming, and collecting pretty books for her never ending TBR. (Collecting books and reading them are two separate hobbies and she will die on that hill.) Her favorite pastime is reading in her chaise lounge, snuggling a warm pup, and drinking iced chai (she blames Michelle for this addiction).

Melissa writes fantasy romance, urban fantasy, and Norse mythology. She also writes contemporary romance of all sorts as Ann Maree Craven.

Melissa believes in stories that make you think and she loves twisty plots and playing with foreshadowing, leaving clues and hints for the careful reader. She draws inspiration from her background in architecture and interior design to help her with the small details in world building and scene settings to create a stronger story.
