I was drawn to the subject matter. Being the child of a bipolar mother I thought it would be interesting to read from another child's perspective. It was different than I expected. The only three dimensional character was Tilly, and I found her difficult to like. The last quarter of the book is when I finally was able to fully engage question mark in the story.

Susan Henderson is a four-time Pushcart Prize nominee and the recipient of an Academy of American Poets Prize. She is the author of two novels, The Flicker of Old Dreams and Up from the Blue, both published by HarperCollins.
