Enchanting, sweet, romantic, impossible to put down, and addictive are words I would use to describe Evry Beat of My Heart. Ms. Coll has done it again with her characters, and gripping storyline. When you read her books, you know you will be pulled into her stories because of her writing style. Here she gives us a small-town, single mom, Claire, and the kind-hearted, hot, and swoon-worthy firefighter/teacher, Jameson. Claire is a single mom who is doing everything she can to provide a home for her son, Owen. A small fire, caused by Owen, and the next thing she knows is a hot firefighter, Jameson, is comforting her and offering to give her and her son lessons on how to use a fire extinguisher. One thing leads to another and Jameson is helping Owen with football but he has this pull towards Claire that he can't explain. Jameson Calloway has always been the joke of the family, the baby of the family, the one who makes jokes all the time. Not knowing what he wants to do or settle down, but all he wants to do is help people. There is a spark between them but there are also things that seem to be keeping them from having that spark ignite into something more. I loved how Claire and Jameson both develop a friendship that sees them have this chemistry they cannot ignore. The banter and caring that happens between them are sweet and add to the characters of each of them. We see Jameson become the person we thought he was with the big heart he has to share with people. This story is one of friendship, family and trust that at times is hard to do. I cannot wait to read Was and Sutton's story, which is the next installment in the Calloway family

Every Beat Of My Heart is the second book in The Calloway's Series. This is a heartwarming single mother charming hero small town romance. I enjoyed this story and I'm a sucker for a firefighter who loves kids. Jameson is the youngest of the brothers and has always been seen as the not serious brother. I loved his journey in realizing how his family has affected his perception of self worth and that he was always enough. Claire, a single recently divorced mother, meets Jameson. She too has similar concerns. I enjoyed this wonderful story of two people coming together, supporting and growing as a person and a couple together . I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Jameson loves working with kids but is it enough? Enough for who is the better question. He seems to think it's not enough so his brothers are all involved in law enforcement. Claire newly divorced and trying to find her way with her teenage son Owen feels like she's failing him. Like she's not a good enough mom so how could she be good enough for the man who's taken so much care and interest in her son lately? These two have so much self doubt to work through it almost seems impossible. But just maybe together they can show each other what they see, if they can just take the time to share their feelings. But, have no fear because this small town, The Callaways, and friends as we no will not sit idly by. They will be there to prod and push and support till all is as it should be.
