At age 17, Mark McDonough survived a catastrophic house fire that left him with burns over 60% of his body and claimed the lives of some of his family members. His journey to recovering was fraught with much frustration and personal trials. And, even once he was considered mostly recovered physically he had to deal with many more emotionally taxing situations with family members and once again more personal trials. Amidst all his physical and emotional pain and suffering he found a personal relationship with God and he doesn't shy away from sharing about that in his book. His story is encouraging and hopeful and it is not one to be missed. I'm glad that I had the chance to read his story and I definitely won't forget it any time soon.
