1970-80, Apala Shrinivas Joshi lived with her brother Upmanyu Krishna Joshi and uncle Kumar Das in Lucknow city situated on the banks of Gomti. Upmanyu and Apala reached a village named Ramchaura near Lucknow to meet Apala's friend Rukmani. Everything was going well but one night Rukmani's house was robbed. Upmanyu took the responsibility of investigating the theft on his shoulders, but as Upmanyu was finding out about the theft, things were getting more complicated and many such things were coming to light which would really shock anyone.
